Re: 15th KY Cav., USA, at Spring Creek, TN

Greg,
Francis Lynn of Co D was injured June 29th. His horse fell on him and he went through a wooden bridge retreating (per pension file). Lt. Morgan Williams was captured June 27th and taken prisoner. Wasn't with the regiment the rest of the war. Williams was still living at Paducah in 1888 and his occupation was a tobacconist. The Lynn's (Francis, Constantine, Elijah, Daniel, Nathaniel, Sam and Wm. P. were from IL. Also, from IL in Co D were Robert D. Crosier, Lyman Wilson, Griffith Joiner, and one of the Enloe's--John I think. John lived at Blandville, KY before he moved to IL best I remember. And two of the "Foy's" were from IL. Samuel Lynn was sick at Paducah when the skirmish took place so he wasn't there.

I'm not finding much in their pension files relating to that particular day though.
Ann
