Have been researching this unit for several years. I have accumulated information from several sources that give me a good deal of info concerning this unit.

I know that the unit was part of John H. Morgans 1st raid into Kentucky. I also know that they were part of Vaughan's Brigade for a goodly period of time after the raid.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone would share any information that they may have on this unit. If anyone knows of any books or web sites that would help me gather data, please share them with me.

My GG Grandfather, George Cornelius Vandivere (Vandiver) served with this unit. I have obtained copies of his service record and his application for a pension. His combinee service record has very little info, and his application for pension also shows a sparse amount of data.
