Turney's 1st TN Vol. (1st Confed.) Infantry

I am interested in any and all information about Turney's 1st Volunteer Infantry Regiment, aka 1st Confederate Infantry Regiment, that was raised primarily in Franklin County in Apr 1861 and fought in VA from May 61 to Appomatox. I am especially interested in anything about Caldwells, Turners, or Company C but will be happy to have anything that gives an idea of the Regiment's activities in the field or in camp. Ggrandfather Isaac Caldwell was a regimental sharpshooter who served until captured at Hatchers Run in Apr 65, his brother Jack was seriously wounded at 2nd Manassas, Gggrandfather Francis Turner was QM Sgt. His brother Mercer was killed at Chancellorsville (Hazel Grove). Brother Thomas was ultimately Ordinance Sgt, etc, etc. I have some letters and photos that I can share.
