There are no Woolly's listed. However, your man, Sgt. A. J. Wooley served in Co. E of the 55th Tenn. Infantry.

Only two others with that surname appear, Pvt.s M. Wooley, Co. G, 21st Tenn. Cav., and Micajah Wooley, Co. E, Newsom's Cav.

On the Union side we have Pvt.s Alexander Wooley, Co. C, 7th Cav. and John Wooley, Co. F, 6th Cav.
