My Jesse Bailey ancestor and wife Elizabeth Woodson Bailey settled in Montgomery Co Tn in 1811 and by 1837 owned a 400 ac plantation which they named Belleview. It was located off of Georgetown Road in clarksville and the Jesse Bailey Cemetery sets on part of the land today. The platnation remained in the Bailey family before and after the civil war as evidenced by the 1870 federal census whci shows Jesse' son Jesse owning the land and listing of domestic servants by first and last names.
