I would appreciate digital images of tombstones for the following Alabama Soldiers killed or died in TN for my webstie "Autauga at War". Where tomstones are not present, I would appreciate digital images of memorial plaques, signs, or monuments honoring the "unknown confederate soldiers" buried at the noted cemeteries. CHATTANOOGA

ALDRIDGE, Ruben - Cox's Shapr Shooters, 2nd Battalion Georgia Sharp Shooters, Company E. Subsequently Oliver's Company, Co.K 58th Alabama Infantry Regt. Death Claim filed on December 28, 1863 by Elender Aldridge, widow, Chestnut Creek, Alabama. Burial unknown. Probably died of disease in a hospital at Chattanooga, TN. May be buried in an unmarked location at the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery on Third Street.

CHANDLER, James P. - 23rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company D. Died of disease at the Chattanooga General Hospital on December 5, 1862, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Burial unknown. May be buried in an unmarked location at the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery on Third Street.

CHERRY, James W. - Company D, 16th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Died of disease September 10, 1863 at Chattanooga. List, Condition of Claims, 2nd Aud., C.S. Treas.Claim filed by Ann E. Cherry, widow, Autauga County, Alabama, 11/07/1863. Burial unknown. probably buried in an unmarked location at the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery on Third Street.

WYATT, James W. - Cox's Sharp Shooters, 2nd Battalion Georgia Sharp Shooters, Company E. Transferred as Company K or Oliver's Company to the 9th Alabama Battalion which later became the 58th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Died on August 20, 1863 in the Academy Hospital at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Death Claim filed on December 4, 1863 by Sarah A. Wyatt with 2nd Aud. C.S. Treasury. Burial most likely in an unmarked location at the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery on Third Street downtown Chattanooga, TN.

FRANKLIN

BROWN, Charles Wesley - John Gill Shorter Artillery, Co. K 1st Alabama Infantry Regt. Wounded July 28, 1864. Shot through the heart and killed on November 30, 1864 at the Battle of Franklin. Burial in section 72, grave 61, at the McGavock Cemetery in Franklin, Tennessee. Marker inscribed as W.C. Brown.

MAY, Joseph W. - John Gill Shorter Artillery, Co. K 1st Alabama Infantry Regt. Killed by the butt of a musket as he attempted to scale the enemy breastworks at Franklin, TN, November 30, 1864. Burial unknown.

MURFREESBORO

COOK, Ezekiel Z. - Autauga Guards, Co.G Blythe's 44th Battalion Mississippi Infantry Regiment, subsequently Co. K 24th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Died May 14, 1863 at Murphreesboro, TN at Confederate Hospital No.2 from wounds received at the Battle of Stones Rives, Decemeber 31, 1862. Burial unknown. Probably buried at Evergreen Cemetery in an unmarked location, Murfreesboro, TN.

NASHVILLE

GOLDEN, George W. - Co. K 7th Alabama Cavalry Regiment. Missing following retreat from Nashville, Tennessee, December 1864. Burial at Confederate Circle, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee.

GREEN, William D. - Company K, 53rd Alabama Partisan Rangers / Company C, 24th Battalion Alabama Cavalry. Died of Disesae (mumps) on December 4, 1863 as POW at Nashville, Tennessee. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee

SHELBYVILLE

BROWN, Lucien - Prattville Dragoons, Co. H 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regt. Killed summer 1863 near Shelbyville, Tennessee. Burial unknown.

GOLSON, J. Hodges - Prattville Dragoons, Co. H 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regt. Killed summer 1863 near Shelbyville, Tennessee. Burial unknown.

SHILOH

CLONINGER, Adam - Prattville Dragoons, attached to the 7th Alabama Infantry Regiment as Company I. Killed on the morning of April 7th, 1862 at the battle of Shiloh. Monday morning, the 7th, the Dragoons were ordered with General Ruggles, and remained with him until ordered by the general to go with Captain Jenkins' company and support a section of Ketchum's battery. The Dragoons went for that purpose, but found the section retiring to take its former position. It was next ordered by Captain Jenkins to go with his company and the Texas Rangers to charge the enemy's left flank. In the evening of the 7th, the Dragoons took position in the rear, as ordered, until relieved by General Bragg as a part of his body guard. Burial unknown.

JOHNSON, Jacob - Autauga Guards, Blythe's 44th Mississippi Battalion, Co. G. Killed at Shiloh on May 6, 1862. Burial unknown.

STALNAKER, John - Prattville Dragoons, attached to the 7th Alabama Infantry Regiment as Company I. Killed April 6 1862 at the battle of Shiloh while the Company was with General Ruggles, being used as couriers to carry an order to the Texas Rangers to charge the enemy and the Dragoons to charge with them. They started for that purpose in column of fours; the front column of the Texas Rangers met the infantry of the enemy, and an order was given to retire; the position of the enemy may have been such that the charge could not be made. That evening the Dragoons were used for the purpose of rallying troops in the field. Burial unknown.

THOMPSON'S STATION

DURDEN, Washington L. - Company K, 53rd Alabama Partisan Rangers. Killed on March 5, 1863 at Thompson's Station, Tennessee. Burial unknown.
