Living History Weekend

I just saw this and am posting if anybody is interested.

"Knoxville’s Civil War Round Table will sponsor its free Living History weekend at Fort Dickerson Park, west off Chapman Highway in South Knoxville, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday through Sunday, Nov. 10-12. On Friday, elementary school pupils will visit and see surgical, artillery, infantry and cavalry demonstrations as historians discuss Civil War significance of Knoxville and Fort Dickerson. From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, and from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, re-enactors will display camps, conduct infantry drills and cannon firing, battle reenactments and other activities. Saturday activities begin with an 11 a.m. ladies’ tea, an infantry drill, a noon discussion of Civil War arms, and a 12:30 p.m. medical demonstration. A 1 p.m. artillery demonstration and 1:30 p.m. history session precede a 2 p.m. battle re-enactment and 3 p.m. pass in review by troops. Camps open Sunday at 11 a.m., preceding a noon armament lecture, a 12:30 p.m. infantry drill and 1 p.m. medical demonstration.
