Incidentally, the Confederate Cemetery in Rose Hill is immaculately kept; it sits high on a hill overlooking the Ocmulgee River, and the Cemetery Association constantly flies a large "First National" flag over the men buried there. The cemetery is visible from I-16, in the heart of Macon.
