William Adcock of Co. A, apparently was ill when the regiment was transferred through Atlanta from S. C. to Corinth in April of 1862 - it is my guess that he was left sick in Atlanta and died on June 23, 1862.

That is if the transcription of the marker is wrong.

His father filed for pension for his son on the 30th of the same month in 1862.

Makes the most sense to me anyway.

James W. Johnson was seriously wounded in the leg at Franklin and had it amputated. He was also captured, when he was released at the end of the war, he apparently made his home in Georgia and died there being buried at that cemetery in 1903 I think it was.
