Moses Vanderver Lewis, 3rd Sgt. enlisted at Paducah KY on 2/4/64. This was where the regiment was stationed on that date. In this period late in the war men from many areas joined the 7th TN. In earlier periods men were mostly from Carroll and Henderson Counties in Tennessee. Moses was 31 years old at enlistment, 5'9", fair complexion, grey eyes, light hair. He gave his birth place as Washington Co Ark. He died in Arkansas (1905) and is buried in Pleasant Ridge Cem, Sebastian Co, Ark.
