Kenneth, I sure wish you good health and to proceed with that project. I finally got a copy of the book Ed Bearss wrote about the battle. Remember, you and I both had Confederate ancestors manning the batteries there. Could have been another famous defense like Sabine Pass if not for the malfunction of the Columbiad and poor luck in marksmanship.
