Hello - I am trying to get some information on Lt. Col. John A Butler 2nd Tennessee (Bates) Infantry CS. He was killed at the Battle of Richmond, Kentucky (August 30, 1862). I am looking for biographical information. Also any after action reports by the regiment on the battle. There was nothing in the OR. This information will be used to help interpret the Battle of Richmond. Thanks for any help.
