I have an autograph of James D. Tillman of Shelbyville, TN from Dec. 1860. This Tillman attended college with my gggrandfather at Cumberland College in Lebanon, TN. 1860 census reveals a J.D. Tillman, age 18, in Bedford County. I think this is the author of my autograph and not the LTC of the 41st. Unless you can tell me that LTC Tillman was 21 years old in 1863. Thanks for checking and I received my package this week and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
