Moffitt,Engineer Corps, died 20 March 1864 and is buried in grave # 144 in the Holston Conference Cemetery located on the land of Emory & Henry College.E.& H. is located in Washington County,Virginia.You can get to the college from Exit 26 of Interstate 81.I have a photo of grave # 144 if you would like to have it , send me an e-mail and I will e-mail it to you.J. R. Moffitt is shown on the metal plaque of the monument as State Unknown.If you like ,I can send you a photo of this plaque and monument.
