I have Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest as the grandson of Alex PATTERSON who married a Ms. Bedford (no first name, sorry). His great grandparents were Samuel PATTERSON and Julia WALLACE PATTERSON. Their daughter, Anna PATTERSON, married Joseph PATTON. All of these families lived in or near Wilson, Maury and Bedford Counties in TN. Hope this helps.
