Robert ALLEN

ROBERT Allen enlisted in the war in Lawrence County TN.,
Nov 30 1861.....his home was in Wayne County Tn., Was there a reason he enlisted in Lawrence County?

He was in Co "I", Nixon's 48th and Voorhies 54th. He
ended up on Columbus Hosiptal in April of 1862. This group
had been to Fort Donelson and somehow got back with their group and were on their way to Mississippi.......I have never found what happened..............where he was when he was taken ill or injured..was he in a battle and how did he get to the hospital? He died May 1863. By Train?
He is buried in the Friendship Cemetery in Mississippi.

Are there any other men who has descendants that were with
this group............were they injured at Corinth or Shiloh...were they in a battle or what happened.....since Robert was from Wayne county, Cypress Inn Tn.,I would like for the to locate the lost Regiments...tell us something
about what happened to them.

I have these questions and would like to hear from others who had ancestors that died at this time........there were so many in this group that were not accounted for...............on the Wayne County website it states that some of these men were lost.......and have never been accounted for. I feel that someone, somewhere has been searching for their ancestors as I have.
No records of them anywhere?
