Historical Marker to be dedicated

I would like to announce that a Historical marker honoring the men of the 18th Indiana
Light Artillery Battery at the Battle of Hoover's Gap.

The marker will be dedicated on June 28th at 1 Pm at the Beechgrove Tennessee Confederate Cemetery. This will be not only a dedication of this marker but also a cermoney honoring all of the men, Confederate and Union who fought and died at this location 145 years ago.

The Cemetery is located in Hoover' Gap on the east side of Interstate 24 15 Miles south of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Interstate bisects the battlefield almost in the middle. The cemetery is the location where Eli Lilly and his 10 gun Battery engaged in its first battle of the war on June 24th 1863.

We welcome each and every one of you to attend this event as it is one of a very few markers to be erected on a privetly owned civil war battle field.Members of the family of the men in the battery have been invited to this event and I wish to invite each and every one of you to this event.
