Re: looking for soldiers who died at tyners statio

Mr. Chason: If Lindsay P. Partirdge, Co. I. 8th Mississippi Infantry died at Tyner's Station, Tennessee it would have been sometime in 1862. He most likely is buried among the approximately 155 Unknown Confederate Soldiers buried in the now called Silverdale Confederate Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee. (Tyner's Station is now part of the City of Chattanooga). The Confederate Cemetery is well maintained although it is right next Interstate 75 North on the way to Cleveland, Tennessee. There is talk of widening this area again but I hope not.

You can find the cemetery history at carha.org the organization which cares for the cemetery. The graves are not marked but there is a beautiful rock wall surrounding it and a memorial marker at the entrance. This site also have photos.

Hope this helps.
