I am trying to acquire any information available on Civil War veteran Robert W. Taylor who was born in Australia. Anything on his life, family, descendants and especially where he is buried. He enlisted at Jacksonville, Illinois by Captain Hamilton, as a Private, on February 11, 1865 for one year and was mustered out at Memphis, Tennessee on September 11, 1865 by a Lieutenant Brown. I am trying to compile a story on him for the Veterans Memorial Website, www.acwv.info. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
