Does anyone know of the location of Company G and Company D of Forests Original Cavalry Battalion at Fort Donelson? From my research Companies D and G were captured at Fort Donelson and Forest's other companies cut their way out. One would think that for some reason these two companies may have been detached from Forest's command at Donelson. Thx in advance
