......Beulah, I live in Trundles Crossroads and Boyds Creek is just up the road a piece. I have researched this area for sometime off and on. I have seen several referneces to this area in the OR and other publications. The Old Knoxville Road (now Hwy 338) runs very near our place and was used heavily by both sides. I feel sure there would have been camps near here. Also I've found a couple referneces to a skirmish at Shooks Gap, but so far have hit a dead end for the most part. Bob
