Some southern states had a voter referendum to call for a convention of secession.
Tennessee was the last state to leave the union, BUT didn't Tennessee have a state wide vote on the issue unlike North Carolina & Virginia whose legislatures decided the issue ?
Does anyone have Tennessee county vote results on the issue of secession ?
North Carolina & Virginia had county votes on the issue of separation. Was there also a later popular vote by citizens of said states?
I'm trying to make a distinction here between Tennessee, who had a vote of citizens on the issue of secession, & other southern states who had a vote on whether or not they should send delegates to convention over the issue of secession.
