Re: confederate family members
Hello. That W. S. Herron who is #60 on the list is buried at Lonoke, Arkansas.
He was the father-in-law of my great aunt Sally.
His wife died young and left him to raise a houseful of boys and one girl by himself.
One of those boys, Tate Herron was my aunt's hsuband.
I arranged for W.S. Herron to have one of those beautiful markers that the government gives away.
There was great pride that he had ridden with Forrest and the 7th Tennessee.
Some of his descendants are down in Texas and probably the youngest one of all
is named James Herron.
I never knew there were so many Herrons, so thanks for all the talk and posting.
