I need help finding my ancestors

I am looking for any information on a Cornelius McGuire born c. 1834 s/o George and Rachel McGuire from Hamilton County Tennessee. I know that Cornelius McGuire married Mary Ann Cody in Hamilton County Tenn. in 1858 and then must have moved to Anderson/Campbell County Tenn. There second child, William Washington McGuire, was born in Jacksboro in 1859. Also Mary Ann Cody's mother Rebecca Cody and children are found in the 1860 Knox Co. Tenn. Census. I cannot find Cornelius or Mary Ann in any of the 1860 Tennessee Census' for the area. I figure they may have been living up in a holler somewhere and due to the Civil War heating up they were not counted. After that, I can only locate Mary Ann Cody McGuire living beside her sister and mother in Campbell County in 1870 and then in 1880 in Anderson County. I feel as if Cornelius may have either been killed in the Civil War or died later due to injuries. I have been unable to find ANYTHING on Cornelius relating to the Civil War. Does anyone have any ideas? Help!
