Aaron D Varnum, 46th Alabama Inf, Co. I, was reported to be KIA in battle in or near Bean Station, Grainger County on 9-4-1862. The only major battle that I am aware of is the battle of Bean Station, 12-14-1863. Would some one be as so kind to reply if there was any more battle or skirmishes in the area
