...an elderly lady from Louisiana with the following:

My son. John, and his family are going to TN in about 3 weeks and had a
desire to find some information on his great grandfather, Nathan Futral
who died at Flat Creek, TN during the Civill War. He had enlisted as N.
Futral F company, 46 Reg't Alabama May 18, 1862.at Loachapoka, AL The
paper on his death listed in the Confed. Arch., Chapter 10, File No2,
page 86 as Nathan Funtrell
, Co B 46 Regt Ala, deceased Aug 14, 1862 At Flat Creek, TN, It was
received April 11, 1864 under remarks was Ser No 115 . We do not know
whether he was killed, died later of wounds or disease or where he was
buried.

Would you have any information on a battle at Flat Creek, TN or near by?
Would you have information on any burial grounds in that area?
