Scarlett, Bluford Pvt. F CSR, Putnam Lafayette

Enlisted 6/9/61. From Putnam Co. Took Oath 5/29/64 at Chattanooga. Captured
at Cleveland Tenn. 5/26/64 as a deserter he refused to take the Oath at
capture. Oath bound him to stay north of the Ohio river until the end of the
war. Sent to Rock Island. Took Oath there 7/7/64. Born 12/27/1843 died
1/20/1935 in Anita Iowa. Married Annie Elgin Ellis of Brimfield Il. He had
seven children.
