At Brice's Cross Roads, Forrest had two headquarters' companies- Jackson's and Gartell's. Much is written about the use of the companies in key parts of the battle. However, after extensive research, I have only found one soldier of the Escort companies that was wounded in the battle. And he was not even in the official surgeon's tally. Does anyone have anything more ?
