Would it be safe to say that Tennessee Confederate cavalry units record keeping was less efficient than infantry due to their mobility during the war ?
Would men in the cavalry have fewer cards in their service record's compared to infantry men ?

There were a number of partisan cavalry commands in West TN. Did these commands even keep records & do they have any muster rolls in existence ?

Same question for home guard units. Are there muster rolls available for them ? Did each TN. county have home guard units ?
