I'm looking for information about H. C. Hays. An alternate name may have been C. Hays. I believe that the C could stand for Coby or Coaby.

He was a Private serving with the 1 Consolidated Regimnet Tennessee Infantry.

Was there such a regiment? If so, where was it formed?
