Re: 1st Regiment Tennesse Volunteer Cavalry USA

Mary Doud, an ancestor we have in common was the daughter of Sgt.Patrick Doud of the 1st Tenn Vol.Cav.Co.D who was killed in combat in 1863. Patrick Doud was my ancestor through my father Carl Doud's line from Greenville,Tenn. We have some copies of Patrick's enlistment papers, death notice, and widows and orphans pension.

My husband (a recovering Civil War buff) and I are interested in learning as much as we can about the "The 1st Tenn.Cav," and the engagements in which Patrick fought.

Thanks

Kathryn Doud Rosalik
