Re: Ransom Gwyn Martin 16th Tennessee Infantry

This man enlisted over a year after his regiment organized. His name appears on roll as joining at Gainesboro TN, Sept. 7, 1862, Co. "D", 16th Tennessee Regt. After being sligthly wounded at Murfreesboro TN, Dec. 31, 1862, he is present on all surviving rolls. Martin surrendered as a member of Co. "F", 1st Consolidated Tennessee Regt., receiving his parole May 1, 1865, Greensboro NC.
