Little history neeed, How much of Forrest's Army of the Tenn. went to middle Tenn. to fight at battle of franklin. Is there a roster of the regiments that may have fought there.My gggrandfather was in Forrest Cav.trying to retrace were he may have been,from June1864 to april 1865.he was with Nixion's cav. under a capt.C.H.Gilbert Co.B Provast Guards. Also woundering if ther are any photos of Capt.CH.Gilbert . thank you.
