Re: Capt. Pleasant G. Swor 5th TN Inf Co. E

Greg,

I went to the Garvin Cemetery yesterday and found that someone had cut the grass and removed the trash.

Strange that someone did this just before the meeting at Dallas City Hall about the Garvin Cemetery in Feb. 2004.

Now that the grass is low I was able to find and dig up a third Confederate stone for William R. Swor Private Co. A 5th TN. Infantry....sunk into the ground....almost lost. The stone is marked with the same cross.

Today's responsible people are working very hard to save the last resting place of these brave soldiers. It will not matter what is on the the markers at all if they are gone!

First we must save the site then repair and restore it.

Thank You,
Gary D. Bray
