Ed Gleeson's 10th Tennessee (CS) unit history makes no mention of Col. O'Neill commanding the unit of former US POWs. O'Neill was seriously wounded at Resaca in May, 1864 and this new regiment must have been his first command since returning to duty. I have online access to the CSRs - shall I check them for you in his file?
