45th TN Infantry CO. A

I have looked and looked on the net trying to find something or anything on the 45th infantry. I have read it formed in Williamson, and I have also read that it was eventually slid in with the 23rd Infantry but kept seperate rosters. My ancestor, Columbus Luther Mcehaney and also his brother who died at Stones River Battle, Livingston McElhaney were from Marshall County but listed with the 45th. If Livingston was killed at Stones River battle where might he be burried. WOuld he have been carried homw since it was close or was there a cemetery for this? I am really new to Civil War research so please forgive me if I sound like a dunce but I won't know if I don't ask! Somebody HELP! Please and Thanks!
