Re: Pates in the 12th tennessee infantry

The William Pate I was interested in from Sevier county, TN. In the 1860 census. He had four brothers. Tennessee Pate(1815), Charles Pate(1831), N.B. Pate(Napolean Bonapart,born(1833-1889). And Samuel Pate born(1836). I think Samuel Pate from Sevier county, TN. Joined the Thomas legion in March, 1862. William Pate was 38 years old according to the census. Had a wife named Martha Emaline Pugh (1827-1898). He had 5 children. Nancy (1846), Hannah, middle name might be Amanda or Telitha.(born 12/4/1848-1912). Ann Pate(1850). William Pate(1853). Samiel Pate(1858). Hannah Pate (married name Garrison) is my gg grandmother. She is buried near Jefferson City, MO. I do not have a clue how she got to Central Missouri from Eastern TN. None of the other Pates came to MO from this group that I have found out. She married Edmund Garrison about 1870. He was born (1821-1904). He served in the Union army during the Civil War and collected a pension. That my gg grandmother collected until she died in 1912. If I can connect this Hannah Pate, born in Sevier county, TN in 1848 with this Hannah Pate Garrison in MO. Then I have the correct person. Again she born 12/4/1848. Do any of these people or names I have mentioned fit in your family. William Pate born in 1821? May have died in dec. 1865. Thanks Rick Soles
