49th Tenn Infantry - Co. A

Hello-----------

I think that 3 members of the 49th TN Infantry, Co. A, were my great grandfather James Mason Buck and his two brothers, George Watson Buck and Benjamin Buck.

Family history lists Benjamin as having died in 1864, and on the internet I have found a Benjamin H. Buck listed as having died as a POW. My family, however, never told me that these men were in the Civil War. (I have no one left to ask.)

I cannot find a site on the internet to confirm that these men were my relatives----the 49th listing I found just uses initials, not the complete names.

Where can I go to get full names from the military rosters, and where can I go to find where Benjamin Buck died as a POW (and if he is my Benjamin Buck).

Thank you so much for any help you can give.
