The Franklin CWRT will meet this Sunday (August 8) at 3 p.m. in the Williamson County Public Library in Franklin. The speaker, Jim Swan, will relate some of the experiences of an Irish regiment from Chicago (90th Illinois Vol Inf) in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. He will also read from some of the letters the soldiers wrote about the places they visited and the people they met. Some interesting Civil War artifacts will also be on display at the meeting. Everyone is invited and attendance is free.
