Tennesseans in the Civil War, Volume 1 has the origin of companies by county listed in the back. The volume has capsule histories of the various regiments for both the Federals and Confederates. Volume 2 has the names and units of Confederate and Federal soldiers. Do not totally focus on your ancestors being in the Confederacy. Anderson County, like all counties in eastern Tennessee, had divided loyalties and they could have easily served in one side or the other or both.
