Colonel George C. Porter

Colonel George Camp Porter (Colonel of the Sixth Tennessee Infantry CSA) once wrote a story; his account of the Battle of Shiloh.

Gov. James D. Porter considered it the most accurate description of the battle he had ever read.

The story was read before the Tennessee Historical Society and was later published in the Banner. (Possibly the Nashville Banner Newspaper ?)

I'd like to read this story if possible. Any suggestion's on how & where it might be found all these years later ?
