It seems to be a better book than the one for the 14th. I have both, and the production values are a lot better as well.

Most regimental histories omit the great newspaper sources that are available, for as you know, most papers had soldier-stringers writing for them.

Case in point - the recent unit history of the 8th Georgia lacked any of the fine accounts from men of the unit that appeared in Rome, GA newspapers.

While not perfect, the books are at least a starting point.
