My ancestors lived along Yellow Creek(Dickson County) during the war. Some were members of the Dickson County Minutemen Homeguard . My Grandfather was born near Tennessee City(formerly the site of "Irish Shanty") A man named Russell James told me that a man (i believe he said a former Confederate soldier named "Dotson" was questioned during the trial of the men captured at Irish Shanty. I think he said he was from Humphreys County; i wonder if any relation to me?
