Re: Sullivan County Home Guards

Glenn: Appreciate the assistance but Henry C. and Issac L. were brothers and were cousins of Henry V. Both Issac and Henry were shot 9 Apr 1865 Henry was killed at scene and Issac died two days later. Both are buried in Crumley's Cemetary, Sullivan County side by side. Issac's headstone is inscribed 61st Tn Mounted Infantry and Henry only says Murdered by SoCalled Union Soldiers. Henry V. also served with the home guard but survived the war and became a stage driver. He died in 1906. His brother William H. Nave served with A Co 13th Union Calvary, spent time at Andersonville prison and died in 1899. Sound like you are quite familiar with upper East Tn history may I ask where you are located? God Bless, Dennis
