Need help

Hi, folks !

I am in greate dispear, and need help to locate a few Danish bloodbrothers that are hard to find.

Case no 1:

In 1861 there was a family from Chicago that moved to Memphis, and the two boys in the family was drafted into Confederate service the same year on a 12 months contract.

Their fathers name are Andrew Jackson Miller, and the boys names are John B.Miller, born 1838; and Charles Miller, born 1841.

In 1862 John Miller returned home to Memphis because of sickness and was captured by the Yankees. John died in 1908, while Charles died in 1899.

This is was I have on them, so I am wondering in what regiment these fellows served ?

Case no 2.

One Jens Heinrich Fredrich Bruun Neergaard, born 26th of Feb. 1841. Resident of Roane County, TN, married with mary Jane Miller in 1860 and got a son Jens Richard Bruun Neergaard, born 7th of Feb. 1862. Two of his uncles was also resided in the same county, and he had an aunt in Kingston, Roane County.

One place states that he died in Andersonville in 1865, and that he is listed as German. I`ve checked Andersonville listings, and there was no Neergaard within the stockade thru 64/65. One other record says he died in 1864.

One documentation says he was in Union service and another beleives he was in Confederate service.

My question are:- Did he serve in a Union regiment from Tennessee or Confederate ?

Any help greatly appriciated,

Roy
