I have the figures for both elections. Below is the recap for the state on the Feb. ballot, secession, no secession.

I have the talley county by county for both. But, I cannot at this late hour seem to locate. I am sure I have them in my files.

However, I do have them on hard copies from the Athens [Tenn.] Post newspaper. Give me some time and I'll get back to you. Perhaps you would send me your address and I can hardcopy to you as the list is much too long for me to copy without a scanner.

The state of Tennessee decides against holding a State convention to address the issue of secession. (29)

The following recapitulation of the vote on the question of calling a State Convention for the state of Tennessee was:

East Tennessee 7,667 33.239

Middle Tennessee 27,228 27,885

West Tennessee 22,623 7,864

Total, 57,518 68,988

Majority againt Convention 11,470
