This soldier from Hamilton County, Tenn. may be related:

R. B. Bayliss, Private, Company K, 43rd Regiment Tennessee Infantry, enlisted December 11, 1862 at Ooltewah, Tenn. by Col. James W. Gillespie, captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, paroled July 9, present at the March 12, 1864 muster at Big Creek, Tenn., admitted C. S. A. General Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. July 24, 1864, gunshot wound right arm, died August 21, 1864

M268: Compiled Service Records of Confederate Soldiers Who Served in Organizations from the State of Tennessee

I suspect he received his wound around the Winchester, Va. area, July 14-19, during Lt. Gen. Jubal Early's Shenandoah Campaign
