Hi, Texans! I'm the adjutant/editor for the Gainesville Vols, SCV Camp 373, Pearl River County, MS. I'm also a public school teacher.

A co-worker of mine (who is a policeman/security guard) is very much interested in his Texas forebears, who almost certainly served in Texas units during Mr. Lincoln's War.

Their names are John & James Criswell.

If any obliging Texas Compatriot could point me in the right direction for further research, perhaps including any possible units these Graybacks may have served in, I would be most genuinely and sincerely appreciateive!
