Battleflags of Ector's Texas Brigade

I rencently traced an ancestor to Ecotr's Texas Brigade as a member of the 14th Texas Cavalry (dismounted.) I wanted to make reproductions of their battle flags carried during their career. In reading, I belive the regiments of the brigade during the Kentucky Campaign and before Murfreesboro carried the McGown style battleflag. Does anyone know when these were first carried? Were they carried at Richmond, Kentucky? I belive they probably carried these through 1863 and at least through Chickamauga.

In 1864 Col. Young of the 9th TX brought back some 4th Bunting Richmond Depot issue battleflags from Viginia and apprently issued them to the regiments in the brigade before the Atlanta Campaign commenced. I am assuming that all the regiments carried them but there is one flag of the 39th North Carolina that looks to be one of the deep south issues of the basic "Richmond" pattern but there was only 12 stars instead of the 13 of the 4th Bunting Richmond Issue. I am curious as to when the 39th NC was issued the deep south manufacture flag not of the "4th Bunting Issue" and if carried during ther same time why did the NC regiments recive flags?

Also does anyone have specs on these flags for reproducing them (material and construction notes?)
