Re: 29th Texas Calvary
In Response To: 29th Texas Calvary ()

"The Clarksville (Texas) Standard" (19 Sep 1863) included "Capt. Wm. A. Brown, wounded (severely)" in its list of killed, wounded (mortally), wounded (severely), and wounded during the Action at Elk Creek.

The newspaper's publisher was Colonel DeMorse who also commanded the regiment!

If you'll forward any pertinent genealogical information on your gggrandfather, we'll include him on our "wall of honor" here.

Thanks.
